Dr. Lori Ludwig
Lori Ludwig received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After veterinary school, she moved to New York City to complete an internship at the Animal Medical Center, an internationally distinguished veterinary teaching hospital. She then completed a surgery residency and Master's degree at the Ohio State University and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. As a board certified veterinary surgeon, she returned to the Animal Medical Center in 1997, where she focused on advanced soft tissue surgery and trained veterinary interns and residents. In 2004 she moved to Charleston, South Carolina to work at a multi-specialty veterinary practice performing soft tissue, orthopedic and neurosurgery. After 16 years she decided to branch out on her own and become a mobile surgeon serving general practices of the lowcountry. Dr. Ludwig has been an invited speaker at veterinary conferences in the United States and overseas. She has also been active in clinical research and has numerous publications in veterinary journals and textbooks. Outside of the operating room she enjoys the beach, cooking and spending time with her husband (also a veterinary mobile surgeon), rescue pit bull, Rosie and cats, Sylvio and Tito
