Shelley Horn, Managing DVM

Dr. Shelley Horn joined Sea Island Animal Hospital in October of 2013. Prior to joining Sea Island, Dr. Horn worked at veterinary clinics in the Low Country and Montgomery County, Maryland. Dr. Horn received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008. Dr. Horn also earned a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School in 1997, concentrating in Marketing and Business development prior to earning her DVM. Dr. Horn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. Dr. Horn has an interest in ultrasound, dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. She provides her patients and clients a keen sense of compassion and is dedicated to furthering the human-pet bond through client education and patient wellness. Dr. Horn is married and has two dogs and a cat. In her spare time, Dr. Horn enjoys traveling, working on home improvement projects, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.


Jessica Rockwell, DVM

Jessica Rockwell, DVM - Born and raised in Beaufort, Dr. Rockwell attended the College of Charleston for undergraduate studies and earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She then went to the University of Georgia and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Veterinary School in 2004. Penn Hip certified, Dr. Rockwell has a strong interest in canine reproduction and ultrasound.


Frances Murray, DVM

Frances Murray, DVM - Joined Sea Island Animal Hospital in July 2008. Graduated Cum Laude From N.C. State University with a B.S. degree in Zoology. Received Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with High Honors from Tuskegee Institute in 1982. After over 11 years in Veterinary Emergency Medicine, she entered private practice in 1995.


Laurel Berry, DVM

Laurel Berry, DVM - A 1986 graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During college she worked for Jack Hannah in the Education Dept. of the Columbus Zoo. Dr. Berry also volunteered in the Veterinary Dept. at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson. She practiced in Arizona and North Carolina before relocating here in 1991. Her special interest is in veterinary surgery.


Anna Wooley, DVM

Dr. Anna Woolley (Stewart) is the newest veterinarian to join Sea Island Animal Hospital. A transplant from California, Dr. Woolley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of California at Davis. Her first introduction to the South came when she interned at the University Of Georgia School Of Veterinary Medicine in the early 1980’s. Dr. Woolley practiced and owned her own business for many years in the San Francisco Bay Area before taking a sailing sabbatical. She fell in love with the Low Country and Beaufort in particular during her travel along the Intracoastal Waterway. Dr. Woolley is married and has two grown children and a young grandson. When she is not working she enjoys sailing on the river, landscaping her yard, and traveling to California to visit family. Dr. Woolley enjoys dentistry and surgery and has special interest in dermatology and geriatric cats.


Rachele Wilson, DVM

Dr. Rachele Wilson joined Sea Island Animal Hospital in September of 2016 after moving from the Atlanta area. She has a special interest in dentistry, internal medicine, and chronic disease management. She graduated from Earlham College with a BS in Biology and then obtained her veterinary degree from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Wilson moved cross-country to complete an Internship at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. From there, she practiced medicine in Savannah for 1 year and Atlanta for 7 years where she was voted one of Atlanta’s “Best Vets” by Atlanta Magazine. Her heart remained in the Low Country and she is so happy to return “home” to Beaufort where her husband’s family resides and where she met her husband 14 years ago. Dr. Wilson spends her free time enjoying the beach and watching movies with her husband Trevor, their daughter Serena Rose, and their 4 dogs – Icey, Sadie, Bella, and Little Miss.
