Animal Hospital Policies
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delays are inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will see you as soon as our schedules allow because we will attend first to those who have kept their appointments on time. In the event that you come early, we will attempt to see you early, but there is no guarantee that you will be seen before your scheduled time.
For your convenience, drop off appointments are available. A drop off means you could bring your pet at a time that works best for you and leave the pet with us for a couple of hours. Usually, we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so that the doctors can examine the patient between other appointments or at the time reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor has completed the exam, you will receive a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instruct ions. For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the waiting room.
Surgery Drop Offs
When your pet is scheduled for surgery, we recommend that the pet be brought in the night before surgery. This allows the pet to become accustomed to the surroundings and ensures that food and water have been restricted appropriately before surgery and any other pre-surgery instructions are completed by the hospital staff. Pre-surgical exam and pre-operative blood work are completed and your pet is ready for surgery the next day.
We do expect payment in full at the time of service; we encourage you to discuss fees prior to treatment for your pet to avoid any misunderstanding. We are happy to prepare an estimate for you.

There is an emergency fee that will be charged in addition to any services that we provide during an after hours emergency call.
